Computer Funny

Connor loves to write stories on the computer using Microsoft Word. He also loves that it has a spell check feature and underlines any misspelled words along the way.

On Sunday, he was writing a story about football...what's new, right?! He is always writing about football. His story included the names of a few players. The first one he wrote about was Dallas Clark. Both Dallas and Clark are more common words, so apparently the spellchecker recognized them. Next, he wrote about Adam Vinatieri. Connor had asked me how to spell his last name so I wrote it down on a paper for him. He added it to his story and then came running upstairs and said "Doesn't the computer know Adam Vinatieri because it keeps underlining his name? It knew who Dallas Clark is. " I about died laughing. He said it like the computer is a person or something.
